The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning that its prescription drug, Viagra (sildenafil), may be linked to a potentially deadly sexual side effect, known as Erectile Dysfunction.
Erectile Dysfunction is the inability to get and/or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. Erectile dysfunction can have serious consequences for your health and relationships.
Erectile Dysfunction is also a potentially serious condition for a man with a history of heart disease, strokes, or certain types of cancer. The FDA says it could cause serious health risks for a man with cardiovascular disease and certain types of cancer, as well as a male partner, when he attempts to get or keep an erection.
Viagra and its generic equivalent, sildenafil, are the active ingredients in Viagra and its generic equivalent, sildenafil citrate, which work in the same way as sildenafil in treating erectile dysfunction.
Viagra and its generic equivalent, Viagra Connect, are FDA-approved for treating erectile dysfunction, but they are not sold under the brand name Pfizer.
